Sorting Tips :
| Use sorting to change the order your results appear in. To activate the sorting, check the check box to the left of the sorting controls. |
| If you do not specify any sorting, the results will be sorted in the order in which they were added to the database. |
| The first box is for selecting what field you want to sort by. If you select a text field, it will be alphabetical. If you select a numerical field, it will be in numerical order. |
| The second box is to specify whether you want it to be ascending or descending. This is simple enough: ascending is a-z or 0-infinity and descending is z-a or infinity-0 |
Advanced Sorting Tips :
| In the advanced sort, you have two sorting controls. The first works normaly. The second sorts the results in which the feild that the first filter is sorting are equal. In other words, if the first sorting is ascending by author's name, you can use the second sorting control to sort each author's stories. In that way, you could have all the stories organized by author, and have each author's highest rated (or whatever) stories at the top of the section for that author. |
| You still have to use the check boxes for each sorting control when there is more than one of them. |
